Jeremy: Another Coaching Failure?

The Gopher football team was well prepared to play on Saturday in the Border Battle against the Badgers. The team did everything right and put themselves in a position to win. The coaches must have a had a great gameplan in place.
So in the end, who do you blame for a botched punt snap?
After speaking on the phone just minutes ago with Jeffrey, I concur with him:
Whose job is it to remind the punter: "if the snap is bad just down it in the endzone, we'll still have the lead and we can let the defense win it."??????
Just a hunch, but it might be a coaches job.

As a Gopher Alum I can say that I am truly pissed off. The Gophers have played great two out of the past three games. And then dominated the Badgers pretty much the whole game. Almost 400 yds on the ground, right?????!?!!? How in the h*ll do you lose that game? You can't blame Mason. Not on this one. He went for it on 4th down twice on that 8 minute drive that should have sealed the victory. If you are up by 10 with 3 minutes to play - you win. Our Defense gives up a score in less than a minute??!?!!?!! And then our special teams luckily recovers the onsides kick at what the 10 yard line?!?!?! Whoever heard of that before? Granted it was a heckuva kick by Wisconsin, but still have you ever heard of recovering it on the 10 yard line? Then all we need is one first down and the game is over. Even then all we do is have to punt and play tough defense for less than 30 seconds. The punter just dropped it. Don't get me wrong - I don't really like G. Mason. He's always wanted to leave Minnesota and go to Ohio State, or something better... ya know? But do you really blame him? I can't stand stupid Wisconsin. They didn't block the stupid kick - officially, maybe, but the punter just dropped the ball. When does that ever happen?

Whew. So I am just really frustrated. Not really with the coaching, though. I mean didn't you love that QB keeper on 4th down when Mortenson got like 20 yards? It just stinks, because we have to wait till next year to play stupid Wisconsin again, and during that game they will just show all of the replays of this years game. Sick to my stomach. Thanks for allowing me to vent. I would appreciate your thoughts.
